What are the challenges facing the Retail World in the perspective of DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION and what does Digital Transformation mean for this market?
It means getting more and more SOURCES of DATA (different categories: mobility / transport, medicine, home automation, agriculture, robotics, etc.) with as many BUSINESS PARTNERS through increasingly large and structured data processing and business processes that are becoming fundamental to the success of companies.
In the light of these trends and consequently of the change in the buying process, it is clear that the priority for retailers goes through the value that is delivered to the consumer through personalised and relocated offers and increasingly filling the gap between online and offline channels
In the era of MULTICHANNEL, how have consumer choices changed?
The DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION has clearly touched the ERP world by changing the traditional channels of communication between CUSTOMER and SUPPLIER, and consequently with the final consumer. This has been possible through the various opportunities offered at the Technological / Architectural (On-Promise, Cloud, Mobile Platform-Open Source Software); expanding from the past ways of interconnecting with its staff, with its customers and with the whole eco-system (Mobile App); changing the "way" of using and analysing data (Internet of Things. Big Data).
What is the role of IT in this phase of profound change?
IT is the essential weapon of change, of success, and real TRANSFORMATION from night to a DAY. This is IT and who does not understand what's happening is OUT. Those who do not understand that investing in IT is essential for the survival of their company is OUT. The role of IT today is as strategic as it was once essential to buy a machine to improve and speed up the work done by man.
What are the challenges associated with INDUSTRY 4.0?
Join or do not adhere to industry 4.0 is a question that as I said before we cannot just ask; but we risk the exclusion. The real question may be to where do I start, where I will start in the transformation of my company? What tools to apply and which "digital walls" should I break down before starting the path of transformation? These are the questions to be asked to grasp the demand for change and to actually prepare to face a real industrial revolution.
What are the PROJECTS in progress and those in the drawer?
Consolidate today and invest on tomorrow. This is our idea of TRANSFORMATION, of change; In fact with the targeted training of our staff and the recruitment of staff involved in innovative fields, it is possible to achieve ambitious goals and to be a step ahead of our competitors.
